I just picked up my copy of Star Wars Battlefront from my local Best Buy for $42.00, and thus far have been very happy with what I have seen. Compared to the 2002 (3?) Quake 3 Engine Jedi Outcast, this game, based upon the Battlefield 1942 engine, is simply amazing. Every aspect from the Installshield installer, to the in-game GUI (minus the rather Spartan game server browser) is highly polished. I only got to play for about 30 minutes last night, but it was enough to see what an amazing job the developer did. Read More »

Let me see if I've got this straight. Dan Rather receives some memos that
seem to support allegations that have been confirmed, through other sources,
for about five years. He makes an attempt to verify these sources through
his intelligence network, and given the competitive and time-sensitive
nature of the news business, decides to go public. Later, discovering he
might be in error, he is contrite and says that in the future he will be
more diligent in verifying his sources.

George W. Bush receives some intel that makes allegations that have not been
confirmed, through other sources, ever. He makes no attempt to verify these
allegations through his intelligence network, and despite the lack of time
pressure, decides to go to war. Later, discovering he might be in error, he
stubbornly denies any error and says that in the future he will do exactly
the same thing.
