It took long enough, but I have finally mastered development of a DotNetNuke 2.1.2 Private Assembly. I made a simple module I call ACIA.JogLog, which logs the Date, Duration, and Distance of a jogging event. Eventually, I would like it to display Average Distance Per Day over time graph using some of the cool sample GDI graphing code I have.

To start, I followed the basic guide to DNN 2.x Module development at DotNetNuke.dk . To make my module, I used John D. Cooper's RAD Module Developer to build my basic Visual Studio.NET project for both the Module and the SQL Data Provider, the ... Read More »

Starting with excellent code I got from the CodeProject.com, by  Joel Neubeck, I was able to port it to the Ideacca Photo Album, another great piece of work following ever so nicely the KISS philosophy (Keep It Simple Stupid). I changed it subtely to let me pass it an initialized image object, which could optionally be watermarked if there was a watermark file available. My version integrates nicely with the Photo Album and DotNetNuke, as I got it to read t ... Read More »
